The delightful Bendigo care home is located in the vibrant regional centre of Victoria. It consists of 152 beds, with various care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role  

As a Cook at one of our care homes you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment. Your passion for food along with your person-first approach will make a real difference to the life of our residents. 

Duties

  • Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents 
  • Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents’ dietary, individual and cultural needs are met 
  • Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services 
  • Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures 
  • Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation such as stock taking, and food quality assessment 

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment  
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • The ability to solve problems independently
