The opportunity 

As the Governance and Reporting Specialist, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the Provisioning and Connected Care businesses meet their reporting requirements at governance forums, driving transparency and accountability.

As a member of the Risk & Compliance A&NZ (2LoD) team, this brand-new role will also be responsible for providing secretariat duties for the division risk committees, including collating risk papers and material, taking minutes during the meeting, and following up on meeting actions. 

The role will provide support to the department risk business partners with risk management tools and methodologies, KRI development and system integrity to ensure accuracy of reporting in governance committees. The role will engage with stakeholders across the businesses to assist with providing data analysis and insights to uplift and transform the delivery of management reporting.

This is a permanent, full-time role based from our Melbourne offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available. This role reports to the Head of Risk Governance, Culture and Reporting – Provisioning and Connected Care division. 

How will I help?

  • Develop and prepare comprehensive risk reports for delivery at risk committees and governance forums.
  • Coordinate and support the divisional Risk Committee, including setting agenda, collating papers and material, taking minutes, and following up on meeting actions. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Bupa to gather information, and provide analytical insights to influence the design, preparation and delivery of management reporting for governance forums and committees. 
  • Identify areas of improvement within the business and consult with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate process improvement. Support the Head of Governance, Culture, and Reporting to implement and report on risk culture plans for the Provisioning and Connected Care businesses to improve risk awareness. 

What do I need? 

We are seeking a tertiary qualified risk professional with approximately 4-6 years’ experience working in risk management, governance and reporting roles in regulated environment such as healthcare, insurance or financial services. 

In addition, your experience may include:

  • Preparation of Board level reporting, including analysing and presenting data in a clear succinct manner for management reporting 
  • Previous experience in a company secretariat role including setting agendas, collating papers and meeting actions etc.
  • Knowledge of business analysis tools and methodologies, business process analysis and gap analysis 
  • Proactively challenge the status quo with proven experience in designing and implementation of procedures. 
  • Business acumen and appropriate experience to confidently interact with relevant business stakeholders 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
