Project Manager
2-year Fixed Term Contract
Role Purpose:
As part of the Technology Team, this role will partner closely with business leaders and technology teams to deliver high quality project management services at pace to drive strategic outcomes for our customers.
The Project Manager is a delivery focussed leader possessing strong organisational, presentation and communication skills. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of medium to large (circa $1m to $3m) strategic change projects and may be required to manage multiple projects. These projects are likely to be both complex and cross functional in nature and encompass both business and technical systems change.
Responsibilities:
- Engage business leaders and develop effective stakeholder relationships to understand and agree the business and customer needs and facilitate successful project outcomes that meet those needs
- Delivery of agreed project scope within required timeframe, cost & quality constraints
- Ensure adequate business analysis is done to establish scope and mandatory requirements
- Identify resources required to deliver project and ensure resource profiles and plans and associated costs are included in Investment case .
- Establish and monitor appropriate project governance for each stream within the project(s), and ensure alignment with the Portfolio governance and reporting framework
- Establish project resource plans, schedules and Bupa time-sheeting (EPM) tasks
- Complete integrated monthly Project Status reporting and submit to required timelines
- Liaise with Finance to interrogate and closely manage your project budget
- Ensure all project people are coached and feel supported in project methodology competencies
- Ensure all monthly Project Status Reports are communicated on time and at the required level of quality
- Ensure appropriate business and customer communication and training plans are in place and highquality change management practices are observed and executed whenever required.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager role, managing medium to large projects (circa $1M - $3M) with high levels of complexity, multple dependencies and with up to 10 - 20+ indirect reports
- Experience in leading change management projects
- Demonstrated experience in project status reporting, scheduling, dependency management and milestone tracking techniques, financial / budget management and risk management
- Proven track record negotiating successful outcomes with Sponsors, Project Managers and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes at a senior level
- Proven expertise in managing multiple stakeholders and technology teams
- Experience running RFPs/RFIs
- Experience in Agile project delivery (and knowing when and how to best use it)
- Expert knowledge using and interpreting Microsoft Project (or another scheduling tool) and agile delivery tools (e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Confluence) is essential.
- Strong understanding of SAFe (e.g. PI planning), DevOps and SDLC
