Release Manager
Role Purpose:
Purpose of this role is to plan schedule and control the build, testing and deployment of releases, to deliver the business changes while protecting the integrity of existing production services.
Responsibilities:
- Release Planning based on the roadmap for all HI Domains like product, digital etc.
- Provide support, guidance, and governance to ensure Bupa release standards and practices are followed.
- Schedule coordinate and manage successful implementation of releases into production including managing the pipeline of releases.
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
- Maintain central repository for release artefacts and release calendar.
- Work closely with Change Management for Release and Deployment to ensure smooth operation of Release Planning activities.
- Raise changes, represent in TCAB and CAB to ensure changes are reviewed and approved
- Ensure relevant release information is communicated timely and disseminated to stakeholders.
- Understand and manage cross dependencies within the platform releases/cross platform releases to enable scheduling.• Participate in all Release cutover activities including the dress rehearsals.
- Craft implementation plan, walkthrough of plan with all stakeholders including business.
- Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities
- Develop and Maintain stakeholder escalation matrix for use during cutover. Escalate and arrive at decisions by engaging the stakeholders during the cutover
- Maintain and track post implementation issues with impact analysis and remediation follow-up
- Manage risks maintaining Risk register with identified risks and mitigation plan.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in Release delivery for large organisations and managing complex releases.
- Experience in Agile, lean, DevOps, and other best practices.
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders including testing services, enterprise project services and delivery units.
- At least 10+ years of experience in IT delivery
- Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level and/or extensive relevant experience as detailed above
