The purpose of this job is…..
This 18-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for a Program Manager – ADF Workforce Management is a critical role within the business, responsible for leading the design, implementation, and successful delivery of the workforce management system. Working closely with the Head of Workforce Management, Head of Service Delivery, Technology, People teams, and key business subject matter experts, this role will drive the development of a scalable and effective workforce planning capability.
Designed for a highly experienced program and project management professional, this position requires a strong track record of delivering complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across the program, ensuring alignment between business objectives, workforce requirements, systems, and operational outcomes.
The Program Manager will combine deep project delivery expertise with the vision, influence, and stakeholder management capabilities required to lead significant organisational change. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping workforce management strategies, driving continuous improvement, and delivering sustainable business outcomes that support the future success of the ADF Health Services contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of the ADF Workforce Management system
- Ensure that the project meets or exceeds stringent standards in scope, timeframe, cost, and quality.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of technical and business aspects
- Develop and manage the project budget and resources, ensuring optimal allocation and utilisation.
- Create detailed project plans that consider all aspects of project delivery, including technical, operational, and business factors Robust Governance & Control
- Establish and maintain a strong governance framework for each project, ensuring it reflects the requirement of the Business Change Board
- Regularly report to senior management and stakeholders on project progress and performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies for all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Ensure effective change management practices are in place and communicated effectively across the organisation
- Regularly present project updates, strategic insights, and recommendations to top management and key stakeholders.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Significant experience in Project Management, with substantial experience in managing large-scale, complex technology projects
- Experience with workforce management, workforce planning and payroll systems preferred but not essential
- Experience in managing projects that combine technical, operational, and business transformation elements.
- Advanced communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including C-level executives.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in advanced project management methodologies, both Agile and traditional, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning and execution.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems/Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Senior-level project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) and Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist) are highly desirable.
- Continuous professional development in project management, leadership, and related areas.
