Healthy Cities specialist - Melbourne

 

Assignment Location:
APAC – Melbourne based but opportunities to travel to other states if appropriate.

Assignment Duration:
3 months in total with 8 weeks in Australia.

Working hours:
Standard working hours aligned with local operations.

About the assignment:

This assignment will support the ANZ rollout of Healthy Cities, supporting the uplift of Blua and Blua for Business products.

This position will work across Wellbeing, DEI and Corporate Affairs and Sustainability teams to support the development and delivery of key aspects of the preparation and launch of the Healthy Cities challenge. In the two-week lead up, during the challenge, and for two-weeks following the challenge, they will support with developing communications and driving engagement across ANZ. As a key figure in the Melbourne office, they will champion events and drive engagement, supporting the wider approach led by the Wellbeing team.

This position will also support the reporting requirements back to Wellbeing and CAS teams, as well as relevant BU leadership teams.

In 2026, the goal of Healthy Cities is to position this as a preventative healthcare challenge. Therefore, you will be working across the Viva suite of offerings, aligning these to the goals of the challenge, ensuring that our people are utilizing Bupa products to make them healthier and happier, while supporting Savannah ambitions.

In this role you will also support a range of Wellbeing and DEI work that is adjacent to this role.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

As part of this strategic transformation, you’ll:

  • Support the development of the Healthy Cities communications plan, aligning to overall branding direction, and supporting key Savannah aims.
  • Support the launch of Healthy Cities both at an ANZ level, as well as support within individual Business Units to promote downloads of the Blua app, and drive engagement throughout the challenge.
  • Work with Wellbeing, DEI and CAS teams to work autonomously, while aligning with overall Healthy Cities strategy.
  • Develop, lead and support events in Melbourne as part of overall calendar of events both virtually and in-person.
  • Support with reporting requirements including number of downloads, active users and total steps, communicating this progress back to the business.

Essential:

  • Experience in communications, marketing or events.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and ability to engage with our workforce both in-person and virtually.
  • Ability to analyse reporting and clearly communicate outcomes at a business and executive level.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Wellbeing, Corporate Affairs or DEI spaces.
  • Worked across a number of Business Units, or supported varied Business Units, understanding the complexities of communication across the MU.
  • Passionate about the purpose and aims of the Healthy Cities challenge.

Other important or useful information

You will be supported by a team both in the Melbourne office, as well as our wider team that is dispersed across Australia and New Zealand. You will be a part of this team, supporting as have many interns and graduate positions previously. The leadership team is understanding and very supportive of this type of work, creating a fun and exciting environment!
