The purpose of the Audience Data Specialist role is to support the enablement of audience segments across Bupa’s digital ecosystem by managing audience data workflows including audience definition, strategy, sizing, segmentation framework, and creation in Audience Stream in alignment with data governance and platform standards.


This role also provides technical support and advice in digital data layer implementation, CRO, and Insights Driven Optimisation for website.


Responsibilities

  • Design and own the audience data architecture, serving as the primary contact for audience implementation and personalization.
  • Define audience strategy, segmentation framework, and perform audience sizing to support targeted marketing efforts. 
  • Create and manage audiences in Audience Stream, ensuring accurate configuration and seamless activation. 
  • Leverage SAS extract capabilities to access and transform structured data for audience analysis and segmentation.
  • Support digital insights analysis within squads by contributing to reporting and interpretation of audience behaviour across digital channels when needed. 
  • Support the digital data layer architecture and be the contact point for business stakeholders seeking advice on implementation practices and making sense of digital data. 
  • Work as a member of both an efficient digital analytics "factory" with appropriate balance of automation and deeper bespoke reporting and within a team known for innovative thinking, strong collaboration, and a shared passion for healthcare.
  • Advocate for evidence-based decisions and a data-driven culture across Bupa and support initiatives that see to better understand customer behaviour and preferences to aid the identification, prioritisation and execution of Bupa ANZ initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the to drive the adoption of data and digital best practices and champion the use of common data assets, including the continued uplift and refinement of digital analytics, tools and platforms.


Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in business/statistics/analytical or related discipline 
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a role focused on audience data collection, structuring, and management across digital platforms. 
  • Proficient in configuring and managing Tealium Audience Stream for real-time audience segmentation, enrichment, and activation. 
  • Proven ability to manage audience data pipelines and workflows to support conversion optimisation, personalisation, and campaign targeting. 
  • Strong experience implementing and managing tags using Enterprise Tag Management Solutions such as Tealium, Google Tag Manager, or Ensighten, with deep understanding of data layer design and audience data capture.
  • Experience collaborating with developers and stakeholders to implement scalable audience data solutions 
  • Skilled in integrating audience data across platforms to support unified customer views and personalised experiences.
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Analytics for tracking user behaviour and building audience segments
  • Experience working directly with developers in implementing analytic solutions. 
  • Experience within an optimisation program aimed at improving onsite conversion.
  • Able to move between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, driving a culture of learning, testing and performance. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in agile environments, contributing to both day-to-day operations and broader transformation initiatives.
