The role purpose.
We have a permanent opportunity within our Optical, Dental and Hearing Technology Team for a Project Manager. You’ll be working closing with the Head of technology on the Salesforce implementation across Optical, Dental and Hearing. You’ll be a delivery focussed leader possessing strong organisational, presentation and communication skills. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of medium to large (circa $1m to $3m) strategic change projects and may be required to manage multiple projects. These projects are likely to be both complex and cross functional in nature and encompass both business and technical systems change.
The role will require strong stakeholder management, engagement and presentation skills, a focus on the customer, outstanding communication, expert project management knowledge, technical resource engagement and direction skills, and experience in delivering a cross functional project in a complex portfolio delivery environment.
The ability to mentor, coach and lead Technology Leads, Project Manager Associates, Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts seconded to the program, will also be required.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager role, managing medium to large projects (circa $1M - $3M) with high levels of complexity, multple dependencies and with up to 10 - 20+ indirect reports
- Experience in leading change management projects
- Demonstrated experience in project status reporting, scheduling, dependency management and milestone tracking techniques, financial / budget management and risk management
- Proven track record negotiating successful outcomes with Sponsors, Project Managers and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes at a senior level
- Proven expertise in managing multiple stakeholders and technology teams
- Experience running RFPs/RFIs
- Experience at managing vendor relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
