The purpose of this job is:

The Senior Finance Analyst position plays a key role in delivering comprehensive financial analysis, commercial modelling, and financial support across the business to the APAC Market Unit and the Commercial Proposition teams (i.e. Genomics, AI & Data).

In this role, you will work closely with the Planning and Reporting Manager, APAC  to lead and coordinate the forecasting, and delivery of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reporting related to the APAC Market Unit and Commercial Propositions. You will also play a critical role in supporting financial modelling, and perform monthly variance analysis against plan, providing insightful commentary and commercial guidance to inform business decisions for the teams.

How will I help?

•Oversee month-end close processes, delivering P&L reporting, dashboards, commentary, and other monthly requirements for the Proposition teams.

•Variance analysis and review of month-end results, providing analysis and explanations for variances. 

• Complete month-end project reporting and forecasts, working closely with key stakeholders and project managers.

•Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the Propositions, covering the 3-Year Plan (3YP), BPC, QBR, and BEF submissions.

•Work closely with the Finance Manager and other parts of the business, to support business case modelling for new Propositions.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decision-making.

•Provide support across other APAC FP&A deliverables as required – specifically across APAC reporting and planning.

•Identify and lead cost-reduction initiatives to enhance cost efficiency across the business area.

What you’ll need to make it possible:

We are looking for a degree qualified finance professional with CA or CPA accreditation and  experience in a finance or commercial analyst role. The successful candidate will bring a strong foundation in financial analysis, with proven experience supporting commercial decision making in complex environments.

You will have demonstrated experience developing commercial proposals, tenders, financial models, and business cases. A strong technical skillset is essential, including advanced financial modelling capabilities and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, practical insights for non finance stakeholders. 

A key focus of the role is effective business partnering, working closely with senior leaders and cross functional stakeholders to support strategic and operational decision making. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, including the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and build trusted relationships across the business.  

Strong analytical skills are critical to success in this role. You will be highly proficient with Advanced Excel and comfortable working with data analytics tools such as Power BI or SQL, alongside experience using a range of financial and operational systems.
