At Bupa, we’ve been working hard to help Australians take care of their health and wellbeing for over 75 years.

You might know us a health insurer, but we do so much more! Today, more than 2,500 clinicians (including 500 doctors) provide Bupa health services, including general practice and allied health, dental, optical and audiology, visa medical checks for the Australian Government, and services for Australian Defence Force veterans and personnel.

Now, we want to play an even bigger role in improving the long-term health of all Australians. We’re operating and building a network of Healthcare Centres to help people access GP and multi-disciplinary primary care services from the experts they trust, all under one roof.

About the Opportunity

The GP Liaison plays a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our medical practices. Working closely with Practice Managers and our Operations leadership team, you’ll help ensure clinics run efficiently, practitioners are onboarded seamlessly, and operational processes are well supported, allowing clinicians to focus on what matters most: patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perm Fulltime position based in Sydney or Melbourne

  • Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to Practice Managers across the network to ensure clinics run smoothly.
  • Act as the key liaison between medical practices and the Operations team, supporting clear communication and consistent implementation of initiatives.
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for GPs and clinicians, ensuring all systems, access, and compliance requirements are completed prior to commencement.
  • Set up and maintain practitioner profiles across booking, billing, and clinical systems, ensuring accuracy and readiness from day one.
  • Manage the coordination of locum clinicians, including scheduling, onboarding, availability tracking, and coverage for planned and unplanned absences.
  • Maintain centralised trackers, rosters, and documentation, and support reporting on onboarding, locum usage, and operational performance.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to Operations leaders, including meetings, forums, reporting, and action tracking.
  • Support the rollout and continuous improvement of operational systems, processes, and SOPs, helping drive consistency, compliance, and efficiency across practices.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative, coordination, or operations role within healthcare or a multi-site service environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple practices or locations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, with proven accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems such as Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and workflow or tracking tools.
  • Experience coordinating locum clinicians, managing rosters, or supporting workforce scheduling in a healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of practice management and booking systems (e.g. Best Practice, Medical Director, HotDoc).
  • Familiarity with healthcare accreditation, compliance requirements, and/or exposure to project coordination or clinic setup activities.
