Assignment Location:
Sydney / Melbourne
Assignment Duration: Total time for engagement to be confirmed (Suggested 12-16 weeks)
Working Hours: To be agreed with the hiring team.
Terms: For colleagues based outside APAC, time in the host country is expected to be up to 6 weeks during the assignment.
About the assignment
We are seeking a highly capable data and analytics professional to support the development of a Wellness Hubs Dashboard for Bupa Villages & Aged Care Australia.
The Wellness Hubs program is a multidisciplinary, nurse practitioner-led model of care that brings together allied health professionals to collaboratively review and triage resident needs in a structured, virtual environment. The dashboard will play a critical role in providing visibility into how effectively these hubs are operating across homes, and the impact they are having on resident outcomes.
This assignment will focus on designing and delivering a high-quality, insight-driven dashboard that enables operational leaders to:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Wellness Hub activity
- Track consistency and quality of program delivery across homes
- Identify opportunities to improve resident care outcomes and operational efficiency
This is a short-term, high-impact engagement with strong stakeholder visibility and the opportunity to shape how data informs clinical and operational decision-making.
Key responsibilities and deliverables
- Dashboard Development
- Design and build the end-to-end Wellness Hubs Dashboard in Power BI
- Translate business requirements into a scalable and intuitive data model
- Develop clear, user-friendly visualisations tailored to operational and clinical stakeholders
- KPI Definition & Tracking
- Define and implement key metrics aligned to the Wellness Hubs model, such as:
- Hub utilisation and attendance (e.g., frequency of meetings across homes)
- Referral volumes and triage outcomes (all allied health referrals routed via hubs)
- Timeliness of follow-ups and care interventions
- Clinical KPIs (e.g., admission reviews, hospital returns, 30-day case conferences)
- Ensure metrics provide meaningful insight into both operational performance and resident outcomes
- Data Integration & Modelling
- Source and integrate data from the Bupa Data Warehouse
- Build robust, reusable data models to support ongoing reporting needs
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and appropriate governance
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and analytics stakeholders to refine requirements
- Translate complex clinical workflows (e.g., hub triage, multidisciplinary collaboration) into measurable metrics
- Iterate on dashboard design based on stakeholder feedback
- Insight Generation
- Go beyond reporting to surface actionable insights (e.g., variation across homes, bottlenecks in referrals or follow-ups)
- Support storytelling to demonstrate the impact of Wellness Hubs on resident care
- Documentation & Handover
- Document data models, logic, and dashboard usage
- Enable smooth handover to the BAU analytics team
What we’re looking for

- Proven experience in Power BI (or similar BI tools), including:
- Data modelling (star schema, relationships, performance optimisation)
- DAX / advanced calculations
- Building executive-ready dashboards
- Strong ability to translate complex business processes into data models and KPIs, ideally in healthcare or operational environments
- Experience working with multiple data sources and building integrated reporting solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to:
- Gather and refine requirements
- Communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical thinking with a focus on insight generation, not just reporting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and deliver within tight timelines
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare, aged care, or clinical analytics, particularly:
- Multidisciplinary care models
- Clinical workflows (referrals, triage, follow-ups)
- Familiarity with resident management or clinical systems (e.g., Leecare or equivalent)
- Experience building dashboards that track operational performance and patient/resident outcomes
- Exposure to Databricks, SQL, or cloud-based data platforms
- Strong data storytelling and executive presentation experience
Other important or useful information
- Where you’ll work: The assignment will be a mix of virtual and in country with the core location as Australia in Sydney or Melbourne as access to AUS data systems from abroad isn’t typically possible due to IT restrictions.

- A buddy will be arranged to support you as you settle in.
