About the Home Set in a picturesque region of Victoria, an hour's drive from the CBD, and with views of the Campaspe river, our Kyneton care home is within easy access to the local community, shops and the botanical gardens. It consists of 90 beds, with palliative care, low care and respite care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role
As a Cook at one of our care homes you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment. Your passion for food along with your person-first approach will make a real difference to the life of our residents.
This is a full time, permanent role paying between $31.45 and $38.73 plus super subject to years of experience
Duties
- Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents
- Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents’ dietary, individual and cultural needs are met
- Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services
- Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures
- Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation such as stock taking, and food quality assessment
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to solve problems independently
