Opportunity Snapshot
The Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring appropriate assurance across the health insurance business by supporting the planning and execution of assurance activities as per the 2LOD assurance plan. As part of the second line Risk & Compliance APAC team, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the health insurance business to provide assurance on control effectiveness for managing key risks and obligations.
This position is initially offered as a 6-month fixed term contract, hybrid working, with flexibility to be based from Melbourne or Sydney.
Position Responsibilities
- To execute second line control design and operating effectiveness testing in line with the Bupa Risk Management Assurance standard.
- Conduct thematic deep dives into risk and assurance activities.
- Provide support to the business owners to implement effective controls by providing robust feedback and practical recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate data in the GRC, extracting insights through regular (and on-demand) reporting.
What do I need?
- Demonstrate proficiency of Enterprise Risk Management Principles including risks and controls, and the three lines model.
- Experienced in analysing and identifying risks, opportunities and recommending appropriate actions.
- Previous experience working in Assurance in a complex organisation or regulated industry such as insurance or management consulting.
- Critical thinking to analytically use data driven insights to solve problems.
- Structured communication skills and an ability to prioritise effectively while working in a dynamic environment and ambiguity.
- Influencing and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
