The Automation Test Lead will lead and drive the automation test frameworks from strategy through to implementation in projects / programs within BUPA Technology by adhering to and implementing the missions, goals, standards, and test processes that have been established for BUPA Australia’s (ALM) Application Life Cycle Management.
key responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and maintain the overall automation test strategy for projects / programs ensuring that the most effective and efficient testing is carried out.
- Evaluate the technical and business requirements and produce comprehensive test plan and test estimates in alignment with the automation framework.
- Leads all the automation testing activities, facilitates all communication to project stakeholders to ensure testing activities are completed within the given schedule and budget and any blockers are resolved.
- Participate in and pro-actively look for test process improvement initiative.
- Ensure that test environment requirements are clearly defined. Also, all test environments are managed effectively and are kept up to date with code base.
- To manage the design, creation, execution and reporting of tests using wide range of test tools for diverse technology stacks
- Undertake test planning activities to align the execution of automation scripts across various environments as part of the release management process and quality outcomes are achieved.
- Maintain testing KPIs (key performance Indicators) and Metrics. Use KPIs and Metrics data to improve Quality Assurance and test effectiveness.
- Manage key stakeholder relationship and ensure that the automation solution is in in alignment with business expectation.
- Organize and lead risk identification and risk analysis sessions and use the results of such sessions for test estimation, planning, monitoring, and control.
- Provide guidance to automation test analyst and lead initiatives for CI/CD pipelines • Provide guidance and support to Onshore and Offshore test team members with QA and testing activities • Continuously monitor and control the test activities to achieve project/release objectives.
- Assess and report relevant and timely test status to project/release stakeholders.
- Other reasonable responsibilities as directed by line or operational manager.
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in working with multiple stakeholders including testing services, enterprise project services and delivery unitsExtensive experience in ASP.NET/C#, XML, SOAP, SAML, SQL Server, Visual Studio and Azure DevOps stack.
- Good understanding of branching strategies and GitHub
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality code, undertake code reviews and provide feedback to the other developers.
- Experienced in developing test automation frameworks using Selenium and Microsoft Visual Studio. • Competent with Azure DevOps for test planning, execution, automation, orchestration of pipelines and reporting
- Experienced in SQL, UML, SCRUM • Defining and implementing best-practice unit, contract, integration, API and UI automation testing strategies in a CI/CD Environment with a strong focus on high value, risk based testing and fast feedback throughout the Build Pipeline
- Experience in automation feasibility analysis • Implementation and maintenance of automated test suites/scripts
- Experience using Visual Studio Tools
- Experience with DevOps tools and processes
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- ISTQB preferred but not essential.
- Test methodologies and testing tool
