The purpose of this job:

As part of the Process Transformation Stream, the Business Analyst role will partner closely with business representatives to deliver high quality Business Analysis services at pace to drive strategic outcomes for the Capability Modernisation Program. 

The Business Analyst specialising in Process Transformation, will play a crucial role in enhancing organisational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and driving positive change for Bupa’s customers, providers and business as a part of the Capability Modernisation Program. This role will analyse existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, gather requirements for process enhancements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve the programs strategic goals. 

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst 
  • Experience in establishing and facilitating workshops for requirements elicitation 
  • Experience process mapping using MS Visio 
  • Experience working with various project delivery methodologies - Hybrid, Waterfall and Agile 
  • Experience in working with Agile methodologies (backlog development and refinement – writing Epics, Features, Stories and defining acceptance criteria using Jira or Azure DevOps) – (desirable) 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems/Information Technology or equivalent (desirable) 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Credibility and ability to communicate, build trust and forge strong relationships with stakeholders 
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills with demonstrable ability in a variety of techniques to express technical information to non-technical readers / listeners.

What you’ll be doing in this role:  

Process Analysis and Optimisation:. 

  • Analyse current business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. 
  • Partner with the Business Process Team to develop Current and Future state process documentation, highlighting pain points, and inefficiencies. 

Root Cause Analysis:

  •  Utilize techniques like the 5 Whys to uncover the underlying causes of problems. 
  • Dig deep to understand the true business need behind process issues. 
  • odentify systemic issues rather than merely addressing symptoms. 

Change Management:

  • Develop change strategies to implement process improvements. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions. 
  • Communicate changes to business users and provide necessary training. 
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams during solution rollouts. 
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed. 

Metrics and KPI’s:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency. 
  • Monitor and track progress against KPIs. 
  • Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
