Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Operations, Governance & Quality Manager, the Business Intelligent Data Operations Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and timely delivery of core reporting assets and dashboards. The role also supports the onboarding and operationalisation of new reports from the wider Business Intelligence & Reporting team.

This is a hands-on role for a collaborative, value-driven analyst with a strong understanding of complex data environments and BI toolsets. You’ll thrive in ambiguous, fastpaced environments and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver reliable, highquality data outcomes.

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.


What will my day involve?

  • Supporting the ongoing maintenance, stability, and optimisation of a complex suite of reporting and business intelligence assets 
  • Maintaining and enhancing key data reports and extracts, contributing to process improvements that enable the business to respond quickly to changing market demands 
  • Driving continuous improvement of data operations processes and structures, promoting best practice and operational excellence 
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, providing clear and transparent communication around reporting quality, impacts, and SLA commitments 
  • Troubleshooting data issues end to end, including root cause analysis from data source through to report delivery, and drive corrective actions 
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in reporting methodologies, with a strong understanding of Bupa’s internal data ecosystems 
  • Designing and deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions spanning health outcomes, customer experience, and healthcare value 
  • Developing meaningful business KPIs underpinned by robust data analysis and a deep understanding of the metrics driving performance


What will I bring?

  • Hands-on experience with SAS, SSIS, Power BI, Synapse, and Databricks 
  • Strong background in data analytics, data quality, data governance, data warehousing, and reporting 
  • 2+ years of experience working across Microsoft Data Platforms and analytics technologies 
  • 2+ years of practical SQL experience, extracting, transforming, and analysing data for reporting and insights 
  • Proven experience delivering insights using Power BI, including DAX development 
  • Proven ability to analyse complex datasets, apply quantitative techniques, and build compelling data visualisations 
  • Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels 
  • Confident presenting technical concepts to broad and non-technical audiences 
  • Experience with data storytelling, KPI development, and driving insight-led decision-making 
  • Solid understanding of data lifecycle processes, governance, and quality management 
  • Strong execution mindset with a proactive approach, high attention to detail, and passion for quality 
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a connected, innovative environment 
  • Comfortable working with sensitive data and committed to maintaining data integrity and privacy 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline 
  • Experience in healthcare analytics or familiarity with healthcare datasets is desirable but not essential
