At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal, and more human.

We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you’ll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before.

Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility. Just imagine the impact you could make as part of the Global Internal Audit team.

As a Clinical Assurance Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic global internal audit function with a specialist focus on clinical audits. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business leaders across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally, ensuring robust clinical risk management and governance processes. You’ll contribute to driving a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement, helping Bupa deliver exceptional care and meet its strategic objectives.

This is a permanent, full-time role and based from Bupa’s Melbourne offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.

The purpose of this job is:

To utilise your clinical expertise within an audit setting to provide independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of Bupa’s clinical risk management, control, and governance processes. You will play a key role in supporting strategic goals by evaluating and improving these processes, contributing to a culture of risk awareness, and delivering high-quality outcomes that enhance customer care and clinical standards.

What is needed to make it possible:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (nursing qualification preferred)
  • Previous audit experience (including internal audit) combined with strong clinical skills
  • Experience in healthcare governance, assurance, risk, or compliance roles
  • Solid understanding of governance, risk, and control principles with a commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Confidence in liaising with stakeholders at all levels
  • Willingness to travel within Australia and New Zealand (up to 5%)

Why someone will love it:

As well as a competitive salary, a range of Bupa benefits, including subsidised private health insurance and flexible working/work from home arrangements, you will be encouraged to innovate in a purpose led organisation. You will be collaborating with various teams globally to deliver exceptional experiences. You will have the opportunity to further learn and develop with excellent internal development courses available and a supportive, career development environment. We trust, respect and consider everyone, knowing your difference will make the difference.

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.

At Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are continuing to build teams that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Bupa is committed to providing equal opportunities and fostering a workplace and environment that is free of discrimination, bullying and harassment.

We actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ applicants.

We are dedicated to removing barriers to participation. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, or if you’d like to discuss how this role can be flexible for you, please let us know so we can support your participation on an equitable basis.
