The Opportunity  

We have an opening for a Clinical Lead Assurance to join Bupa’s Australian Defence Force (ADF) Health Services within our Clinical Governance team. 

The ADF team are responsible for providing integrated and seamless end-to-end health support to 85,000 ADF personnel across 59 facilities. This includes integrated workforce providing health services such as primary and occupational healthcare, dental, physiotherapy, mental health and psychology services, pharmacy, occupational rehabilitation and health administration. In addition, Bupa is responsible for pathology, imaging and radiology, vocational rehabilitation, mental health, hospital, specialist, allied health, patient transport and other off base services enabled by Bupa systems.   

Please note, this is a Security Cleared position. The candidate must be an Australian Citizen and must be eligible to obtain and hold a Baseline Security Clearance.

Reporting to the Clinical Governance Manager, this hybrid role is offered as permanent, full-time and may be based from our Melbourne or Sydney offices. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements).

Responsibilities of the role: 
The Clinical Lead Assurance will be responsible for overseeing the clinical quality assurance program and ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements. This role will be responsible for key processes such as audits, quality improvement projects, data and trend analysis to identify areas for improvement within the clinical governance framework with a particular focus on credentialing and contractual requirements.

Requirements for the role: 

• Extensive health / clinical auditing, quality assurance and risk management experience.
• Related tertiary or professional qualifications in the areas of audit are desirable. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage with a range of non-/clinical stakeholders to deliver successful business outcomes.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple competing issues and priorities. 
• Demonstrated ability to build and refine quality systems and processes.
• This is a Security Cleared position. The candidate must be an Australian Citizen and must be eligible to obtain and hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
