The opportunity

Are you ready to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of technology procurement and optimize purchase-to-pay processes? At Bupa, we are seeking a passionate purchasing professional to join our team for a 6-month contract as Commercial Analyst. 

This contract role demands a trifecta of talents: the artistry of communication, the diplomacy of stakeholder management, and the strategic thinking to design new and improved processes. 

You will be ready to make a significant impact by enhancing procurement operational performance and driving value across our technology ecosystem! In addition, you’ll provide support with vendor management, data analysis, reporting and pattern analysis on financial spend to develop insights to assist with the Technology sourcing strategy. 

This is a 6-month contract, payrolled via Bupa and can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney with very flexible hybrid work arrangements available. Please note, this role is not being offered on as a daily rate.

Key responsibilities

• With your purchase-to-pay expertise, you will support with purchasing strategies, supply chain coordination, vendor invoicing & accounts management  
• Manage Technology Purchasing team under outsourced vendor model including third-party service delivery & performance governance  
• Proactively identify, recommend and drive components of process and service improvement opportunities that will maximise value delivered to the Technology team such as simplifying and standardising processes in line with Bupa procurement systems and compliance model
• Leverage data and insights to define the opportunity and benefits of change.

What do I need?

We are looking for an operational Analyst with a blend of purchase to pay experience, creativity and analytical skills. 

In addition, you’ll bring 

• Customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a drive to continuously improve processes 
• Proficiency in using purchase-to-pay systems, with an understanding of accounts payable procedures to assess process and design efficiencies  
• System savvy, with advanced skills in Windows based applications, an ERP system (Coupa preferred) and a ticketing system (ServiceNow) 
• Advanced analytical abilities and a knack for analysing information, data and processes.
