A full time, permanent opportunity has become available in our ADF Health Services Contract (ADFHS) Clinical Governance Team. This is a hybrid role and can be based from our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office locations when not working from home. 

The Credentialing SME is responsible for providing expert guidance and support in all aspects of the ADFHSC on base credentialing processes and standards. This role ensures that credentialing and compliance activities adhere to regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements. The Credentialing SME collaborates with other ADFHSC teams to ensure service delivery and credentialing is efficient, accurate and compliant. The Credentialing SME plays a crucial role in mitigating risks associated with credentialing and ensuring that appropriately credentialed Health Practitioners are employed.

How will I help?

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for key governance activities relating to on-base credentialing for both onboarding and ongoing requirements, escalation of clinical credentialing matters and support to Service Delivery teams.
  • Provision of clinical input into all credentialing activities for on-base workforce including daily credential checks and input into waivers/exemptions/endorsements.
  • Play an integral role in the Compliance Response Team in supporting the Compliance Incident Notification process for any clinical requirements.
  • Act as a proactive change leader to ensure the integrity of all credentialing systems is maintained
  • Establish good working relationships with all business services and other central functions to ensure clinical credentialing and risk awareness and developments are communicated
  • Ensure business alignment and adherence to industry standards and requirements within the Bupa clinical governance, risk management and compliance framework particularly relating to clinical credentialing

What do I need? 

  • You will be a Health Professional/allied health practitioner with extensive experience in Clinical Governance, Quality and Risk Management experience.
  • Post Graduate qualifications or working towards i.e., Quality Management, Health Administration, Clinical Governance or similar will be highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and refine operational processes particularly those relating to quality and safety.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement frameworks, drive outcomes and ultimately delivery programs of work.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, problem solving and strategic planning/thinking ability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Experience implementing organisational wide quality improvement initiatives and influencing teams in building a high-quality improvement culture.
  • A passion for innovative thinking!
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders to work in partnership with service delivery teams to achieve outcomes
  • This is a Security Cleared Position. The occupant must be an Australian Citizen and must be eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance

Additionally, Bupa also provide a Veterans & Families Counselling service for veterans and their families through the Open Arms programme.
