How will you make an impact?
As a Crew Delivery Manager you will drive end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives that require delivery planning and coordination across multiple Digital squads, multiple crews, Enterprise platforms, Go-To-Market, Legal, Customer and external vendors. The role is a key enabler of delivering Digital initiatives by ensuring oversight when initiative complexity goes beyond the capabilities of squad level delivery by Digital Product Managers.
The role is also a key enabler in fostering the Crew delivery culture by coaching and mentoring other delivery roles, like Product Managers and supporting the Crew Delivery Lead, thus improving overall Digital delivery capability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- In partnership with the squad Product Manager and the Crew Delivery Lead, drive the creation of complex initiative delivery plans that will meet pre-established and expected business outcomes. These outcomes can be defined in a few different ways, either OKRs, quarterly-planning commitments, milestones or others and can also be related to discovery or delivery outcomes.
- Ensure initiative delivery plans are comprehensive and include all aspects required to deliver the business outcomes, focusing on end-to-end initiative delivery (either technical or non-technical, including external vendors), having business outcomes as clearly defined goals and required steps to bring initiatives into market.
- Support the Crew Delivery Lead and Crew Lead when deciding which initiatives will require coordination from a Delivery Manager, which ones won’t. Initiatives not assigned to a Delivery Manager will be solely managed by the Squad Digital Product Manager.
- Present initiative delivery plans to senior stakeholders, being able to explain the decisions behind the plan, risks and implications, trade-offs and expected outcomes with clarity and transparency.
Key skills & experience required:
- Minimum 3-5 years with proven experience in running cross-functional Agile delivery teams, including evidence of having built high-performing delivery teams.
- Minimum 3-5 years with proven experience in delivering complex Digital initiatives into market.
- Practical experience of operating hybrid delivery methods for technology development, including Agile methodologies, waterfall delivery and Lean
- Experience working with delivery and collaboration tools, especially work systems e.g. MS Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira, MS CoPilot, Miro, Figma, Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow etc.
- Experience working within matrix structures, with demonstrated ability to broker outcomes effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and peers.
- Evidence of continuous improvement, developing purposeful solutions and practices to improve applications, end-to-end solutions, and team performance.
