We're looking for a Chief Operating Officer to drive our Dental, Optical and Hearing business forward. Based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane (with flexible working and travel required), you'll be the strategic partner and operational leader to our director, turning vision into reality across our networks.

This isn't just about smooth operations - it's about championing patient experience and enabling clinicians and support teams to deliver exceptional care. You'll optimise performance, accelerate growth, and deliver results that matter, all while keeping our people and customers at the heart of everything we do.

About the role:
In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee the daily operations across over 220 sites - ensuring clinical, financial, and service standards are consistently met. You’ll lead and inspire teams across Australia responsible for patient experience, workforce management, and operational efficiency. The COO also collaborates with executives on strategic initiatives like expansion, technology integration, and regulatory compliance to support our long-term business goals. You will:

  • Develop and foster a culture that inspires and empowers employees across the business and delivers results for our practices and retail stores
  • Lead an established team of 8 Operations Leadership team members who are dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences
  • Achieve EBIT targets per Annual Operating Plan
  • In collaboration with the Director Dental, Optical and Hearing, review annual budget and performance targets so they reflect the functional operating environment and demonstrate good revenue and cost management
  • Implement data-driven optimisation strategies across the networks, leveraging analytics to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and allocate resources effectively, ultimately enhancing operational performance
  • Take ownership, alongside direct reports, for managing and maintaining strong relationships and agreements with our clinicians - particularly our Practice Principals.

About you:
We’re looking for a proven business leader with extensive experience overseeing multi-site operations, ideally within healthcare, retail, or service-based industries. You’ll bring a strong track record in driving operational excellence, and leading large, geographically distributed teams to deliver outstanding performance and customer care. Experience in strategic planning, workforce optimisation, process improvement, and compliance within a regulated environment is essential, along with the ability to partner effectively with clinicians and corporate leaders to support growth and innovation.

We’re seeking a pragmatic, personable leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. You know how to turn plans into action, inspire teams through authentic engagement, and get things done with focus, energy, and accountability.
