CRO Manager
Melbourne, Australia
Be at the heart of it
We have a clear ambition to be the world's most customer-centric healthcare company. To bring our ambition to life, we are evolving how we do things to create value for our customers now and into the future.
Our global purpose is to help our customers live healthier and happier lives. Just imagine the impact you could make.
We’re looking for a Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Manager to join our Digital Growth & Acquisition team. This is a 12-month fixed term contract, replacing a team member on parental leave. The role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, with hybrid working arrangements (a mix of working from home and in-office collaboration).
How will you make an impact?
This role is at the forefront of Bupa’s digital sales optimisation strategy—helping prospective customers take the first step toward joining Bupa by improving the performance of our digital experiences.
You’ll lead experimentation across upper funnel pathways, including navigation, landing pages and marketing pages, with a strong focus on mobile optimisation, personalisation, and conversion uplift. You’ll work closely with Product, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to design and deliver A/B tests that drive measurable impact.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with direct reporting on test performance to senior leaders. You’ll be instrumental in shaping how customers engage with Bupa online, especially as we evolve our digital presence to reflect our broader health and care ambitions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and executing A/B tests and experiments to improve quote initiation and conversion.
 - Managing and prioritising a backlog of CRO initiatives based on data insights and business goals.
 - Partnering with Product Managers and Merchandising Specialists to deliver impactful digital changes.
 - Using tools like Adobe Analytics, FullStory, and SiteSpect to identify opportunities and measure success.
 - Supporting major initiatives, including the redesign of Bupa.com.au navigation.
 - Reporting on experimentation outcomes to senior stakeholders.
 - Coaching squad members and stakeholders on CRO methodology and best practices.

About You
You’re a commercially minded digital optimiser with a passion for experimentation and customer experience. You thrive in fast-paced environments, love solving conversion challenges, and know how to influence without friction.
You’re confident, collaborative, and data-driven—able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Key skills and experience required:
- Background in digital sales, journey optimisation, or experimentation.
 - Experience using A/B testing platforms (e.g. SiteSpect, AB Tasty, Optimizely, Adobe Target).
 - Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Adobe Analytics and FullStory.
 - Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable experiments.
 - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
 - Comfortable coaching others and educating teams on CRO practices.
 - Patient but persistent—able to influence and collaborate effectively.
