Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Data and Insights Analyst to join our Health Insurance business on a fixed-term contract through to 31 December 2026. This hybrid role offers a balanced working arrangement, with two days per week in the office. The primary objective of the position is to generate actionable customer, commercial, and product insights that inform and support the development of customer and go-to-market strategies. By leveraging data and analytics, the role plays a critical part in shaping strategic decisions and enhancing business performance.


The ideal candidate is an experienced analyst with strong capabilities in problem solving, data analysis, data preparation, and visualisation. You will work within a matrix environment, collaborating closely with both business and technical stakeholders to understand complex customer and business challenges. This includes developing hypotheses, interrogating data, and delivering meaningful insights that drive outcomes. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into clear, impactful narratives are essential to succeed in this role.


What You’ll Be Doing

Here's what you can look forward to in this role:

  • Develop insights and recommendations by undertaking data sourcing, data preparation, analysis design and visualisation to support product development, go-to-market planand customer experience strategies 
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their commercial imperatives and translate into data driven approaches 
  • Be commercially minded, and reinforce commerciality, strategic and data-driven mindset within the Domestic Retail Portfolio, International and Corporate Portfolio
  • Support the Domestic Retail Portfolio and other functions by undertaking the delivery of adhoc requests
  • Be supportive and proactive in strengthening the technical capabilities of the analytics / performance function 
  • Deepen understanding of the Health Insurance industry and remain abreast of relevant industry, market, competitive and regulatory developments 
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Customer Analytics Manager


What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:

  • 2-3years' experience in a data and analytics related role 
  • Tertiary qualification in analytics, science, business/economics computer science or related discipline
  • Programming in SQL (required), R, Python and/or SAS 
  • Visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau 
  • Experience with Data Bricks, Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake will be highly regarded 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word to craft presentations based on a defined narrative / storyline and key messages 
  • Possess strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly (verbal and written) and influence stakeholders
