ESG Governance Advisor

The opportunity:
Bupa’s ESG Governance Advisor is responsible for coordinating thoughtful, timely, accurate and high quality governance and reporting services that maintains transparency, credibility and compliance across Bupa’s independent charity (the Bupa Foundation), governance bodies (Board, Executive, ESG Committee, Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, Modern Slavery Working Group) and reporting channels (Group and APAC internal progress reporting, Annual Reports) that support societal change and contribute to Bupa APAC’s wider ESG agenda.
How will I help?
- ESG governance duties across Bupa’s governance bodies such as the ESG Committee, Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, Modern Slavery Working Group and ANZ Board and Executive Leadership Team.
- Work with Committee/Working Group Chairs to schedule and set meeting agendas, maintain Terms of Reference, maintain suitable and representative membership, compile and review papers, maintain an action log and work with members out of Committee sessions to progress and track action items, take minutes.
- Governance duties associated with maintaining a credible and compliant independent Health Promotion Charity with Deductible Gift Recipient status
- Coordinate quarterly deep-dive progress reports and commentary against our commitments to reconciliation, modern slavery, community investment etc
- Coordinate monthly reports for the APAC Executive Leadership Team on progress across all of the ESG and Sustainability programs, coordinate annual reports for internal “year in reviews” and for external Annual Report publications.

The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organisational, communication and time management expertise, with a track record of enabling stakeholders to anticipate and plan effectively for deadlines and milestones.
You excel in working with diverse internal stakeholders to achieve high-quality governance, reporting, and operational outcomes. Your ability to build and maintain productive relationships will be central to establishing positive stakeholder networks and driving collaboration.
A positive attitude and a growth mindset will see you thrive in this position, alongside the ability to navigate and deliver results in a large, complex organization. Flexibility and adaptability will be essential, as you manage unforeseen requests with agility and composure.
While not essential, familiarity with ESG, sustainability, or social impact programs will be highly regarded, bringing added value to your contributions in this pivotal role.
