What’s your role?

Health Care Management (HCM) is embarking on a new strategic direction that involves a large program of work which spans across HI and the broader business. This program will execute the HCM strategic plan and includes large strategic initiatives and strategic changes. The introduction of a dedicated HCM Program Delivery and Execution team will support the ways of working for project delivery of strategic and BAU projects.

As a Product Owner for Bupa’s Provider CRM and Portal, you are the ‘glue’ between our business, providers, and our delivery teams. You’ll work with key stakeholders to ensure Bupa is building the right products and with our delivery teams to ensure we are building those products in the right way. You will understand internal customer needs and the business’ goals and represent these in the Provider CRM and Portal products.

What will my day involve?

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Enabling Functions (like Governance) and Engineering teams, to develop and execute a roadmap that ensures the platform’s reliability, operational excellence, and alignment with overarching business objectives, with a strong focus on optimising system performance, uptime, and scalability of the Provider Management Platform (CRM) and Portal.
  • Lead discovery efforts by engaging with stakeholders, technical experts, and operational teams to identify opportunities for improving platform resilience and reliability.
  • Working with the squad and business stakeholders to co-design business requirements via epics, features, and stories, together with acceptance criteria to deliver the minimum viable product for product launch and successive iteration and horizon mapping.
  • Create, prioritise, and maintain the team backlog, defining release and sprint goals and timelines.
  • Establish and track key reliability metrics and KPIs and financial benefits for all enhancements, demonstrating delivery success.
  • Work closely with data and analytics, user experience and our internal partners to capture provider behaviours and help inform decisions and product development.
  • Taking a positive stance, with a can-do attitude, you have a proven ability to influence and take people with you on the journey to success You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.

What will I bring?

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline. 
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally CRM, leading the delivery of transformational business change.
  • Demonstrated experience in business case generation, tracking and reporting, including business value, benefits, and outputs after delivery to articulate delivery success.
  • Have a strong ability to resolve complex problems, working through situations and identifying opportunities.
  • An analytical focus with an appreciation of data analysis, commercial drivers, business viability and technical feasibility.
  • Strong business acumen, you understand the bigger picture and can communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being articulate and concise.
