The purpose of this job

The Senior Cyber Incident Responder is pivotal in strengthening Bupa’s cyber resilience across the APAC Market Unit. Acting as the front-line defence against advanced cyber threats, this senior position takes ownership of escalated cyber events, determining their severity and orchestrating a coordinated response per the APAC Cyber Security Incident Response Plan (CSIRP).   

In addition, the Senior Cyber Incident Responder takes a key role in the execution of a threat hunting program aimed at identifying compromises and control weaknesses for continuous hardening of the operational environment.  

Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role requires interaction with executive levels throughout Bupa on matters related to incident response, threat management, and leadership of the Cyber Crisis Response Readiness Program. 

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • 5+ years of experience in IT field specifically in cyber security incident response. 
  • Knowledge in all aspects of cyber forensics including evidence collection, protection and analysis  
  • Extensive experience in responding to cyber security incidents. 
  • Deep understanding of incident response / digital forensic principles, methodologies and techniques.  
  • Hands on experience using Incident Response tools.  
  • Knowledge of the principles of conducting incident response / forensic investigations, including reporting, evidence handling, chain of custody, and court or regulatory proceedings 
  • Ability to interpret Digital Evidence matters in a way understandable to business and non-technical people. 
  • Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention tools and conducting DLP related investigations 
  • Hands-on experience with hardware/software tools used in incident response, computer forensics, network security assessments, and/or application security. 
  • Experience in conducting investigations on Windows and Unix operating systems. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organisation, leadership and planning skills. 
  • Law enforcement or defence background would be highly desirable. 
  • Current or commitment to a Defence Baseline Security Clearance (mandatory)
