What’s your role?

The Senior Engineer – ServiceNow Platform enables and advises on the implementation, administration, and support of the ServiceNow platform, managing and delivering on technical objectives for ServiceNow products. The role is responsible for driving collaboration across product teams, implementing strategic policies, and ensuring optimal use of the ServiceNow platform. The role includes mentoring team members, guiding innovation, managing complex tasks, including development, and effectively communicating solutions to stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Meets allocated technical objectives, which includes analyses, designs and plans
  • Assignment of tasks and/or responsibilities
  • Technical, process and quality aspects of product design and build
  • Influences product owners, SMEs, and developer by creating and supporting collaborative ways of working across product squads
  • Implements and executes policies aligned to strategic plans and consults on best practices related to products
  • Consults with SMEs on features of the product and drive innovation
  • Ensures ServiceNow product entitlements are used in the best interest of the organisation and are ‘fit for purpose’
  • Performs an extensive range and variety of complex technical and/or professional work activities
  • Enables continual operational improvement, including assessing and evaluating risk
  • Mentors and guides through sharing of knowledge and experience and encourages learning and growth within the team
  • Advises on available standards, methods, tools, applications and processes relevant to specialism and can make appropriate choices from alternatives
  • Creatively applies innovative thinking and design practices in identifying solutions that will deliver value for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.
  • Clearly demonstrates impactful communication skills, articulating complex ideas to broad audiences
  • Assists Senior Product Owner – ServiceNow on management of product, planning and roadmap

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of ServiceNOW Administration and/or Platform Management experience
  • Strong communication skills when engaging with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in ServiceNow within a similar industry
  • Completed ServiceNow training and certifications
  • ServiceNow specialised certification is preferred
  • Effectively applies digital skills and explores these capabilities for their role
  • Sound generic, domain and specialist knowledge across relevant platforms
  • Is familiar with recognised industry bodies of knowledge both generic and specific, and knowledge of the business, suppliers, partners, competitors and clients
  • Develops a wider breadth of knowledge across the industry or business
  • Applies knowledge to help to define the standards which others will apply
