Senior Power Pages Engineer

 In this role you will be play a key role in leading the design and implementation of digital –transformations solutions for our clients, continuously improving our Power Pages Platforms.

 Our Power Pages Platforms are key to our delivery of our Technology Strategy, and are required to be always available, efficient, consistent, fast to deploy, and monitored. The Power Pages Engineer will ensure these aspects of our Power Platforms, and lead improvements and learning activities.

 Your deep knowledge and hand-on experience with low-code concepts and patterns will enable you to create scalable, robust ad efficient solutions that align with our business objectives.

 As an advocate for good software engineering standards and practices, you will be embedded in our DevOps culture and Agile delivery methodology.

What’s your role?

  • Lead, design, develop, and customize and manage the configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
  •  Implement and optimise MS Cloud for Healthcare services, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient operations.
  •  Integrate D365 applications with various healthcare systems using FHIR protocols to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Lead the migration of legacy systems to D365 and Cloud for Healthcare platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.
  • Provide technical insights and guidance to development teams throughout the software development cycle.
  •  Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software development.
  • Stay updated with the latest healthcare technology trends, D365 updates, and FHIR developments to recommend improvements and innovations.
  • Lead and Mentor Team members on best practises and approaches
  •  Collaborate with development, operations, testing, security operations and design to ensure quality product enhancements.
  • Perform security, performance, and availability assessments.
  • Automate configuration management and environment deployment.
  •  Research, troubleshoot and manage issues/defects.
  • Establish, configure, improve and respond to production alerting/monitoring.
  • Leverage tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices.
  •  Have a very strong focus on analysis, solution and technical design activities with high-quality documentation and realistic work estimates as the end deliverable.
  •  Leading continuous improvement in our Power Platforms capability and align with our DevOps culture.
  •  Initiate process improvements that ensure continual use of leading-edge software test processes and methodologies.
  •  Support internal IT projects that deliver both strategic and operational improvement to the systems. You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.

What will your day look like?

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  •  5+ years’ demonstrated experience in a similar Power Platform and Dynamics 365 solutions Application development role
  •  Expertise in FHIR standards and experience with healthcare data interoperability.
  •  Experience in Managed and Unmanaged Solutions best practices.
  • Experience across the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Model Driven Apps, Power Pages).
  •  Demonstrated experience in both Dynamics and non-Dynamics based solutions, with the ability to apply general development best practices to Dynamics 365 low-code development.
  •  Strong understanding of Dynamics modules (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing) and Best Practices, lifecycle management.
  •  Extensive experience in Dynamics Customer Engagement (CE), including the development of plugins, workflows, custom actions, and custom integration components.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and TFS/git repository including Dynamics build and release pipelines.
  •  Proficiency in development languages and tools such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, JQUERY, HTML, CSS, Web API’s and Visual Studio.
  •  Experience in agile methodology and participating in sprint user story grooming and prioritisation discussions.
  • Experience in creating and updating technical and non-technical design documents.
  •  Development experience in Azure DevOps including automate pipelines.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, or FHIR are highly desirable

  • You have a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in web development or a related field.
  • You have at least 5-6 years of experience using JS frameworks, especially ReactJS. You have a strong understanding of NextJS framework and how to use it for server-side rendering and static site generation.
  • You are proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and styled components like emotion. You can create responsive and interactive web pages that follow the design guidelines and principles.
  • You have a good knowledge and experience with Design Systems and tools such as Storybook and Figma. You can use them to create and maintain reusable UI components and ensure consistency across the application.
  • You have a good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX. You can use tools like Axios or Fetch to communicate with backend APIs and handle errors and exceptions gracefully.
  • You have a good knowledge of the latest ReactJS APIs, such as Hooks, Context, and Custom Hooks. You can use them to manage the state and data flow of your application and optimize its performance and reusability.
  • You have a good knowledge of Web Accessibility, WCAG 2.0, and ARIA attributes. You can ensure that your application is accessible and user-friendly for all kinds of users, including those with disabilities or impairments.
  • You have a good knowledge or experience with bundling tools such as Yarn, NPM, webpack, and unit test tools such as Jest or Enzyme. You can use them to manage your dependencies, build your application, and test your code quality and functionality.
  • You have a good knowledge or experience with NodeJS and Express. You can use them to create and run your own backend server and API endpoints, or to integrate with existing ones.
  • You have experience with Content Management Systems, such as Sitecore. You can use them to create and manage dynamic and static web content and customize their features and functionalities.
  • You have a proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. You can use tools like Babel or SWC to ensure that your application works smoothly and consistently across different browsers and devices.
  • You have a proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git. You can use them to track, manage, and collaborate on your code changes and updates.
  • You have a good understanding of SEO principles and best practices. You can ensure that your application is optimized for search engines and follows the accessibility standards.
