The opportunity:
An exciting, 12 month fixed term opportunity has become available for a Senior Reporting and BI Developer.
Our Data Transformation Portfolio is delivering against Bupa’s Data Strategy, with our BI Developers playing a key role in delivering against Value initiatives for our business in Connected Care, Health Insurance and Health Services and Enabling data professionals by building capability in our contemporary Data Platforms (BDP).
Our BI Developers would be expected to work at a squad level in delivery against the Epics, Features & Stories that are defined by the Product Team to achieve our collective roadmap.
The Senior Reporting and BI Developer will work with the Enterprise Reporting team and BU representatives to develop and deliver a sophisticated suite of Power BI dashboards and data analytics solutions to drive the right business outcome. This role will work with Technology & business stakeholders and Enterprise Reporting partners to understand and translate business requirements and deliver the end-to-end process from helping to validate the ETL build in the reporting layer to designing, deploying, and providing training to end 0users to help facilitate self-service usability.
How will I help?
- Enhance business analytics by delivering automated and standardised reporting, identifying key focus areas and actionable insights.
- Optimise reporting performance through best practice constructs of DAX queries, functions, and report design.
- Develop interactive and static reporting using data visualisation techniques that are clear and easy to understand and use.
- Collaborate with a variety of technical and business users to ensure that reporting insights are accurate and relevant.
- Focus on creating and driving the adoption of self-service solutions for the business, including documentation and end-user training.
- Support our Heads of Engineering, Product Management Team and Business Leaders in providing thought leadership and consulting with business stakeholders around the use of data and data technology.

What do I need?
- Postgraduate or relevant professional qualification desired.
- 6 years experience in a Power Platform Development role.
- Demonstrated skills and experience as a business intelligence developer (specialising in Microsoft Power BI, Power App and Power Automate).
- Advanced DAX, Power Query and report design skills is essential.
- Advanced SQL is essential.
- Excellent communicator and demonstrated experience engaging and supporting business stakeholders during design, prototyping, development, and implementation phases of business intelligence projects.
- Strong business partnering skills, effective collaboration and ability to influence.
- Strong knowledge of systems and the ability to translate large quantities of data into commercial reporting & analytics.
