The purpose of the Senior Strategy Manager is to collaborate with divisional stakeholders to deliver key strategic projects and drive the end-to-end Bupa A&NZ strategic planning process, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and global ambitions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive the end-to-end Bupa APAC strategic planning process. 
  • Lead the delivery of strategy projects relating to growth opportunities that span the core ‘business of today’ and opportunities that will build the ‘business of tomorrow’. 
  • Assist the Business Units and Support Functions to align on and deliver their individual strategic objectives. 
  • Oversee corporate reporting as required. 
  • Ensure strategy execution is aligned with strategic direction through collaboration with the business to influence day-to-day work. 
  • Regular collaboration with Executive and Senior Leaders to influence strategy and delivery. 
  • Writing local and global board papers, preparation of presentations for the executive team and development of materials for board strategy discussions. 
  • Under the guidance of the Head of Strategy, manage and support market units and business unit development opportunities. 
  • Day-to-day coaching and support within the strategy & delivery team which may include PowerPoint pack development, problem-statements, issue-trees and other strategy aids. 

As a part of Bupa's Strategy & Delivery division, the Senior Strategy Manager position is offered on a 12-month contract, hybrid working arrangements and based in Melbourne. 

What you’ll need to make it possible 

  • You’ll have well-developed analytical skills, excel at crafting and delivering presentations for senior executives, and have a natural flair for managing projects and juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience in developing and driving strategic change, partnering with diverse stakeholders, and bringing in and applying new thinking, in consulting and/or industry roles.
  • Previous experience working within the health insurance or healthcare industries would be highly desirable however not essential. 
  • Experience working in a changing and ambiguous environment that calls for clarity of mind and expression. 
  • Additional post graduate business qualifications (e.g. MBA, CA, CPA) desirable.
