Job Purpose

The Senior Technology Product Owner is responsible for defining and driving the strategic vision, roadmap, and delivery of key technology products and platforms that enable business success. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that product outcomes align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value. The Senior Technology Product Owner prioritises initiatives, manages backlogs, and champions modern delivery practices such as Agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement. Through strong leadership, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making, the role ensures that technology solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and organisational goals while meeting the needs of end users, stakeholders, and customers. 

To be eligible for this role you must be an Australian Citizen with NV1 or NV2 clearance.


What you’ll be doing

  • Define and own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for technology platforms.
  • Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors.
  • Lead and prioritize product backlog to deliver value-driven features and improvements.
  • Oversee full product lifecycle from ideation to continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize and manage change requests, incident resolutions, and enhancements.
  • Champion adoption of Agile, DevOps, and SRE principles for efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and data teams for technical feasibility.
  • Define and monitor product success metrics using data insights.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and communicate product goals and progress.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs across multiple initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in product ownership or technology leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing full product lifecycle and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Expertise in formulating product roadmaps and managing backlog prioritization.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, UX/UI, and data teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development, APIs, and cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools or similar product management platforms.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver measurable business value.
  • Preferred: Experience in healthcare sector or health technology.
