Bupa Cairns is situated in the quiet residential suburb of Mooroobool and is close to all that Cairns CBD has to offer. It consists of 151 beds, a with various care units such as dementia, respite, and palliative. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

Bupa Mount Sheridan is set 15 mins from Cairns CBD, within lush tropical surrounds with views of the mountains, it’s a picturesque place to call home. Our modern care home has easy access to the local community, public transport and a large shopping centre close by. It consists of 125 beds, a with various care units such as dementia, respite, and palliative. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

The heart of the role
As an Enrolled Nurse at Bupa, you’ll play an important role in delivering person-centred care that makes a real difference in the lives of our residents. Your genuine passion for helping others and enhancing quality of life will be reflected in everything you do, from clinical tasks to the everyday moments that matter.
You’ll bring empathy, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility to your work, building trusted relationships with residents, their families, and your colleagues. Whether it's supporting medication management, assisting with daily living or contributing to care planning, you’ll approach each task with care, compassion and clinical excellence.
Pay rate is $35.55 per hour + Superannuation.

Duties
- Deliver the highest quality, person-first, care to our residents under the direction of the Clinical Care Team
- Ensure safe medication administration, best practice wound care and clinical support for our residents, in line with resident needs and legislative requirements
- Support the Clinical Care Manager with the management and completion of the AN-AAC assessments
- Actively engaging in handovers with the Clinical Care Team to ensure continuity of care across shifts
- Participate in person-first care planning and evaluation for residents
- Adhering to all relevant legislative requirements and quality guidelines
Skills and Experience
- Diploma of Nursing (Endorsed)
- Current registration with AHPRA is essential
- Experience in delivering personal care within an aged care setting
- The ability to work as part of a tight knit team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good clinical observation skills
- A strong understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
