Bupa is investing in remediation program designed to deliver fair, fast and meaningful outcomes for our customers. We’re looking for a Lead Business Analyst who thrives in complex environments, leads with purpose, and builds exceptional teams.

While experience in end-to-end remediation delivery is desirable, the true focus of this role is leadership: developing high-performing business analysts, elevating analytical capability, and shaping strong business outcomes across the program.

Why this role matters

As the Lead Business Analyst, you’ll be a central member of our Remediation team—partnering across business, data, technology, and operational functions to drive clarity, alignment and quality delivery. You will guide a team of talented BAs, build domain expertise, raise standards, and ensure we’re solving the right problems in the right way.

This is a significant opportunity to lead an existing team of business analysts as they continue the programs transformation, in a supportive organisation that prizes customer focus, integrity, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll lead and deliver

Team & Capability Leadership

  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of 5–10 Business Analysts, fostering high performance and career development.
  • Scale BA resources up or down in line with program needs, ensuring capability is aligned, supported and empowered.
  • Role-model modern ways of working, uplifting BA standards and championing continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Business Analysis
  • Work with Program Leadership to define business needs, shape scope, and guide the strategic direction of remediation initiatives.
  • Ensure the effective articulation and sign-off of business requirements aligned to customer, regulatory and operational outcomes.
  • Drive a holistic, end-to-end view of processes and systems, bringing strong analytical structure and clarity to complex problems.

Program Enablement

  • Establish and maintain high-quality BA documentation, frameworks and tools.
  • Champion an agile mindset—flexible, outcome-focused, and collaborative.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including SMEs, designers, architects, testers, developers and product owners.
  • Contribute to major strategic programs such as the Sherlock data transformation initiative.

About you

You’re a leader first—someone people want to work with and learn from. You bring thoughtfulness, curiosity and sound judgement, thriving in environments where clarity must be created, not just captured.

You will also bring:

  • 7+ years’ experience in business analysis within multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams (virtual and physical).
  • Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to translate analysis into meaningful insights, decisions and outcomes.
  • Experience working within matrixed, fast-changing organisations.
  • Working knowledge of cloud data environments (Azure/AWS) and comfort navigating complex data, processes and systems.
  • The ability to operate autonomously, communicate with influence, and drive delivery from discovery through to execution.

Experience in remediation or health insurance is beneficial, but not essential if you bring strong leadership, analytical excellence and a systems mindset.
