The role purpose.
We have a permanent opportunity within the COO function for a Risk & Enablement Lead, Technology to join Yvonne Laycy and her team. You’ll play a key role promoting and embedding the Risk Management Frameworks across the team. This role is responsible for assisting with the delivery of the risk policy and governance activities. The role will partner with all levels within the COO and Health Insurance Technology teams, to ensure that the business understands and acts within Bupa’s Governance Frameworks and Risk Management Strategy and policies.
PLEASE NOTE - this is not a Cyber GRC role we are only seeking candidates with direct Line 1 Technology Risk experience !!!
The role includes performing first line of defence risk, and governance activities to:
- Underpin the implementation of Risk Management Frameworks including development and execution of the Technology Risk Culture plan
- Ensure the legal entities across the APAC MU are adequately managing technology risk and complying with Bupa’s Enterprise Policies
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic vision, operational expertise, and strong cross functional collaboration. This role is the 2IC to the Head of Risk & Enablement, Technology.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Tertiary graduate in Technology, Risk Management, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Technology line 1 Risk and risk in change roles
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills including experience presenting to senior management teams • ISACA qualifications highly regarded
- Previous experience in an assurance or risk management function and strong understanding of governance, risk and quality assurance processes
- Demonstrated ability to identify emerging risks and knows when to escalate them
- Possesses an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Well organised, flexible and adaptable. Able to work under significant pressure and intensity
- Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes through consultation, collaboration and conciliation
- Excellent presentation skills
