As a Risk Business Partner, you will be responsible for enabling the delivery and implementation of the risk management framework within the Health Insurance (HI) business. This role is a true risk business partner, offering risk advice to help manage and maintain robust controls, while also handling incident and issue management effectively.

Position Management Level D17. This is a permanent, full-time role and based from our Sydney or Melbourne offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available. 

The purpose of this job is:

As a member of the broader HI Risk and Governance team, you will create a risk aware and engaged culture within the Customer Channels & Growth (CCG) and HI Operations and Enablement teams to protect and support value creating activities through undertaking field work including:

  • training and awareness to support the application of the risk management framework; 
  • facilitating risk and control assessment activity; 
  • risk and control monitoring including monitoring and reporting on risk data quality measures; 
  • supporting the deployment and application of risk, compliance and policy frameworks; and
  • supporting incident and issue management processes.

What is needed to make it possible:

 We are seeking a risk professional with 3-5 years practical risk management experience in a partnering role, with exposure to assessing risk within data and / or projects. It’s preferrable your experience has been gained within a regulated setting, such as insurance, healthcare or financial services. 

Proficiency with GRC systems such as SAI360, Protecht or Archer (or similar) is a must, combined with meticulous attention to detail and sharp analytical skills. 

You’ll thrive when working as part of a team, creating positive relationships as a trusted and respected risk business partner. It’s desirable you possess a Risk Management Accreditation (RIMS, RMIA or similar) or be working towards.
