Senior Frontend Developer

Opportunity Snapshot:
As part of the Technology Team, you will utilise your web Frontend Developer skills to take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing visual and interactive elements which will be used in Bupa Digital systems to drive strategic outcomes for Bupa’s customers.
The role will include requirement analysis, assistance with solution design, code development, unit testing and implementation of highly maintainable and scalable solutions. You will work within cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high quality applications using: .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Azure cloud platforms utilising industry standard software development best practices. The role will also mentor graduate and other level developers.

Qualifications and training
- 5-7+ years’ experience using Javascript including Typescript
- A proficient understanding of web mark-up including HTML5, CSS3 and accessibility
- A basic understanding of CSS and pre-processors like SASS
- A basic understanding of CSS-in-JS libraries such as MUI, styled components and emotion
- A good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React and Next JS
- A good understanding of unit testing frame works such as Jest, Cypress and React Testing Library
- A good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX.
- Knowledge or experience with building and bundlers such NPM, yarn, webpack and Rollup
- Basic knowledge with tools such as Figma and Miro
- Experience with Content Management Systems.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring applications will adhere to them.
