The purpose of this job
Working on the applications that support Healthcare Providers, the Senior UX Designer leads end-to-end experience design across HCM, shaping user journeys, flows and interactions that improve product and service outcomes. Applying design thinking, user-centred methods and strong interface design craft, the role delivers evidence based, high-quality digital experiences.
Reporting to the Head of Program Delivery & Execution, the Senior UX Designer works closely with product, service design, engineering and operational teams from discovery through to delivery, producing prototypes, customer validated solutions and development ready assets. The role also contributes to uplifting design practice across HCM by enabling design platforms, including the design system and accessibility standards, ensuring experiences are consistent, scalable and inclusive.
What you’ll need to make it possible:
- Extensive User experience design across web application and SaaS
- Strong expertise in UX and UI application across discovery to delivery
- Extensive experience in Design Thinking, Human Centred Design, System-Thinking, Content Design, Experience Design and Research
- Experience building and working in Design Systems
- Understanding of API ecosystems
- Experience with Lean Process and Agile ways of working
- Expertise in accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and inclusive design practices
What you’ll be doing in this role:
Experience Design (UX/UI)
Lead experience design activities across discovery, concepting, and delivery. This responsibility ensures design outputs are customer-centred, evidence-based, and aligned with business goals.
- Design user flows, wireframes, and interaction models for digital products
- Translate journeys into visual and interactive assets for delivery teams
- Apply both UX and UI craft to create cohesive, high-quality experiences
Prototyping and Customer Testing
Create prototypes and lead customer testing to validate design decisions. This responsibility ensures solutions are iteratively tested and refined with evidence.
- Build low-to-high fidelity prototypes using appropriate tools
- Conduct or support usability testing and customer validation sessions
- Analyse findings and iterate designs to address usability gaps
- Share testing outcomes with delivery teams to inform decisions
Experience Design Quality Management
Ensure experience design outputs meet standards of usability, accessibility, and inclusivity. This responsibility ensures experiences are not only functional but also equitable and effective.
- Review design artefacts for clarity, accessibility, and alignment to standards
- Promote inclusive design practices across teams and journeys
- Apply accessibility principles in design documentation and delivery
