Assignment Location
APAC – Melbourne based, with opportunities to travel to other states where appropriate to support DEI initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and employee events.

About the Assignment
This assignment will support the ongoing delivery and evolution of Bupa's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy across Australia, New Zealand & Hong Kong.
Working closely with the DEI team and partnering with Business Unit stakeholders, you will play a key role in driving initiatives that foster an inclusive, equitable, and high-performing workplace. The role will support the design, coordination, communication, and implementation of DEI programs and activities that strengthen representation, inclusion, belonging, and employee engagement across APAC.
As a key member of the Melbourne office, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of DEI events, awareness campaigns, cultural celebrations, employee network initiatives, and learning opportunities. You will also support stakeholder engagement activities and help embed inclusive practices across the organisation.
The role will provide exposure to a broad range of DEI priorities, including gender equity, accessibility, cultural inclusion, LGBTQ+ inclusion, employee resource groups, reconciliation, and inclusive leadership. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders to support delivery against strategic objectives while creating meaningful experiences that enable all employees to thrive.
In addition, this role will contribute to DEI reporting, insights, and governance activities, helping measure progress and communicate outcomes to leadership teams and key stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
As part of this strategic agenda, you'll:
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of DEI initiatives aligned to the DEI strategy and broader people priorities.
- Develop and implement communication plans and engagement activities that increase awareness, understanding, and participation in DEI programs.
- Partner with Business Units and key stakeholders to support the delivery of inclusive workplace practices and interventions.
- Coordinate and support DEI events, awareness campaigns, employee network activities, and key diversity calendar moments, both virtually and in person.
- Assist in creating presentations, resources, toolkits, and communications that promote inclusion, belonging, and equitable outcomes.
- Support employee engagement and culture initiatives that elevate diverse voices and experiences across the organisation.
- Contribute to the collection, analysis, and reporting of DEI metrics, insights, and outcomes to inform decision-making and track progress against strategic goals.
- Stay informed on emerging DEI trends, best practices, and external benchmarks to support continuous improvement.

Desirable
- Previous experience supporting DEI, Culture, Wellbeing, People, Corporate Affairs, or Sustainability initiatives.
- Understanding of key DEI concepts, including belonging, accessibility, equity, intersectionality, and inclusive leadership.
- Experience working across multiple Business Units and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Experience supporting employee network groups and/or inclusion and engagement initiatives.
- Knowledge of DEI reporting, benchmarking, or data analysis.
