The Opportunity

Join Bupa as a Content Governance Specialist and play a pivotal role in embedding governance frameworks that ensure our content meets the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and consistency. This role offers the chance to work at the heart of our enterprise content operations, collaborating closely with content, legal, risk, digital and product teams to enable user friendly, scalable publishing across our customer-facing channels.
Reporting to the Content Governance Manager, you’ll drive the day-to-day implementation and continuous improvement of content governance. You’ll bring policies to life, streamline workflows, and optimise content lifecycle management. This is a permanent fulltime position and can be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. Bupa offers flexibility and Hybrid working so you can work from the office or from home.
How you’ll make an Impact?
In this role, you’ll be a key enabler of quality and compliance in content publishing. Through your support and attention to detail, you’ll build frameworks to ensure every piece of customer content is accurate, accessible, and meets internal and external obligations.
Key areas you’ll contribute to include:
- Drive the continuous improvement and implementation of content governance frameworks and approval processes, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with content teams, legal, risk, marketing, policy and product teams to ensure governance policies are practical and scalable.
- Design content workflows, ensuring all content meets compliance and regulatory standards collaborating with Content Compliance Producer and Governance Manager.
- Identify areas for process and platform improvement and help refine content governance procedures for better efficiency.
- Track risk and issues, escalating content-related compliance risks when necessary.
- Analyse governance data and prepare recommendations and reports that highlight trends and performance.
- Develop and deliver training and best practice guidance for content stakeholders.
- Stay informed on regulatory requirements and governance tools, supporting continuous uplift of capability.
- Partner closely with business initiative owners to develop a deep understanding of the challenges, pain points and areas of opportunity.
About You?
You’re someone who brings both structure and collaboration to everything you do. With a solid foundation in content, compliance, or digital governance, you're comfortable working across teams to guide content through structured approval processes. You value the importance of governance and are eager to build on your experience in a role that offers meaningful exposure, variety, and the chance to work with great people.
The key skills and experience required to be successful in this role are:
- A strong understanding of content governance, compliance, or quality assurance practices in a content-driven or regulated environment.
- Hands-on experience designing content approval workflows and governance processes.
- Deep understanding of content management systems (such as Sitecore) and workflow/approval tools.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional stakeholders including legal, marketing, and product teams.
- High attention to detail and a structured, analytical mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and contribute to continuous improvement in a dynamic setting.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and a passion for digital content, content optimisation, and customer experience.
