Full-time permanent position – Monday to Friday

The purpose of this job is….. 
Play a vital role in the effective running of the practice by providing essential support to the Practice Manager to showcase leadership and operational attributes. This role will work across our Southport and Burleigh Waters Medical practices supporting the practice manager and leading a close-knit team. 

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Experienced in front desk at a senior level (3+ years’ experience) and/or practice management, ideally with proficiency in Best Practice software
  • Strong communicator and active listener who can build rapport quickly
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable, with the ability to pick up new systems with ease
  • A natural problem-solver who takes initiative and gets things done without being asked
  • Able to multitask and work accurately at pace in a busy clinical environment
  • Confident working independently and managing the practice in the Practice Manager's absence

What you'll be doing:

  • Working across our Southport and Burleigh Waters practices, Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)
  • Support the Practice Manager with recruitment, rostering, team performance reviews, and financial oversight
  • Coach and develop your team to achieve KPI targets and practice goals
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the patient experience
  • Assist in facilitating regular team meetings and maintaining effective communication across the practice
  • Manage front desk operations, handling patient interactions and phone calls efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Step up as Acting Practice Manager in their absence, taking full ownership of rostering, staff performance, financial monitoring, timesheet approvals, and order processing
