About The Role
As a Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of property services, including repairs and maintenance, to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.
This role is 3 days a week, you must have availability on Mondays and Fridays. The in-between can vary depending on your availability.
Duties
- Provide repairs and maintenance support to the care home across a wide scope of activities including:
- Identify and carry out preventative maintenance, repair and improvement works to the building, grounds and equipment in-line with the Maintenance Schedules.
- Ensure the physical environment for residents is in line with their preferences and is neat, comfortable, safe and hazard free.
- Landscaping and garden maintenance; general repairs and waste removal
- Oversee, maintain, assess and provide recommendations on replacement of assets if, and as required.
- Assist in the management of Property Services projects
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety and Property Services Quality Assurance procedures
Skills and Experience
- Formal qualifications; and/or Relevant skills training or experience
- Experience in Property Maintenance and Building Works
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety
- The ability to solve problems independently
