What’s your role?
The Ancillary Partnerships Manager is required in the execution of Bupa’s provider and partnership strategies associated with its ancillary product offering.
This role will be responsible for the recruitment and management of ancillary providers contracted and recognised by Bupa.
The growth in ancillary networks needs to ensure delivery of the best possible health outcomes for members at a sustainable cost to the business.
What will my day involve?
- Managing ancillary claims costs through network providers to deliver sustainable value to the customer & fund
- Managing the development and implementation of the ancillary partners & benefits:
- Enhancing contractual arrangements across ancillary providers
- Implementing common business rules & processes
- Expanding electronic claiming usage
- Timely delivery and assessment of trends/issues to support the sustainable affordability of Bupa’s ancillary network offering Identify communicate & make recommendations on areas of potential business risk
- Planning and executing provider engagement Strategy to maximise value with providers
- Overseeing the management of ancillary benefits through contracted network providers, including ancillary network claims & utilisation
- Engaging with Bupa owned businesses – Bupa Dental Corporation & Bupa Optical
- Developing and producing business cases to support either new initiatives or enhancements to ancillary benefits
- Effectively engaging key internal and external stakeholders including development and maintenance of engagement cadence and strategy
- Managing the performance of the team in line with Bupa procedures, through both the performance and coaching processes, and in a way that leads to improvements to people engagement
- Maintaining network agreements and relationships for large key corporate groups
What will I bring?
- Demonstrated experience in managing health fund ancillary offerings
- Proven ability to build effective internal/external business relationships at a senior level
- Demonstrated understanding of ancillary product design and ancillary claims management
- Extensive Health Insurance industry experience (greater than 5 years)
- Previous experience in dealing with health professionals & providers
- Strong analytical skills – particularly in relation to business processes
- Advanced analysis and forecasting abilities
- An ability to consult and liaise at many levels within the organisation
