About the Role | BusinessAnalyst – Melbourne or Adelaide (Permanent)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Execution in the HCM Program Execution & Delivery Team, the Business Analyst role will partner closely with HCM delivery managers, change managers and initiative owners to deliver high quality business analysis to drive outcomes for the HCM portfolio of Strategic and BAU Initiatives. 

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of HCM initiatives through defining business problems via in depth investigation and gathering of requirements, documenting solutions, and liaising with key stakeholders across the organisation. 

HCM has a Program of strategic initiatives and BAU projects of varying size and duration that span across HI and the broader Bupa business.  The initiatives can be strategic, BAU, foundational and compliance in nature. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Development of Business Requirements using various techniques, workshops, interviews and surveys 
  • Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvement 
  • Partner closely with initiative and business SMEs to develop a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities 
  • Working collaboratively with Delivery and Technology teams using the preferred project methodology and Delivery Hub governance frameworks
  • Working with Change Management, to identify the potential impact of the changes on different parts of the business, process, technology, or people and helping to establish and embed the change into the business successfully 
  • Identifying issues, risk and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts 
  • Collaborating with Technology to implement changes and ensure alignment between Business and Technology needs
  • Communication and collaboration across portfolios and translating technical jargon into business language and vice versa 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with delivery teams, technology, delivery hub, internal and external stakeholders and vendors

What You’ll Bring

  • 2-5 years’ experience in an analytical role
  • Formal Business Analyst qualification (desirable) 
  • Experience in establishing and facilitating workshops for requirements elicitation  
  • Experience in process mapping 
  • Experience working with various project delivery methodologies - Hybrid, Waterfall and Agile  
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.   
  • Experience working with Change Management teams and knowledge of Change Management Methodologies
  • Experience using Lean tools and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping 
  • Ability to communicate, build trust and forge strong relationships with stakeholders  
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills with the ability to express technical information to non-technical audience
