The Opportunity
You might think you already know a lot about Bupa. You’ll know we provide health insurance and aged care services across Australia and you’ve probably also seen our dental and optical clinics in your local shopping centres. But what you might not realise is that we also provide support to several government departments including delivering health services to Defence Force personnel and their families in Australia.
ADF Health Services Contract provides integrated and seamless end-to-end health support to 85,000 Australia Defence Force (ADF) personnel across 59 facilities. This includes integrated workforce providing health services such as primary and occupational healthcare, dental, physiotherapy, mental health and psychology services, pharmacy, occupational rehabilitation and health administration. As well pathology, imaging and radiology, vocational rehabilitation, mental health, hospital, specialist, allied health, patient transport and other off base services enabled by Bupa systems.
This entry level role is responsible for providing a high level of administrative and business support, with focus on secretariat duties within the Complaints and Clinical Incident Management (CCIM) meetings, Credentialing Committee, and Bupa Assurance Program.
Making an impact at Bupa
Your key responsibilities include:
- Handle administrative tasks like taking minutes during important CCIM meetings and making sure everything is documented properly.
- Input and manage data for Clinical Complaints and Incidents (CCIs), ensuring they're logged, updated, and closed according to Bupa’s process.
- Provide support with various administrative tasks, especially in managing complaints and incidents as per Bupa and Defence guidelines.
- Take care of secretarial duties for the Clinical Credentialing Committee, ensuring smooth operations.
- Assist the Clinical Lead with audits related to clinical credentialing, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor daily updates from AHPRA and support the Clinical Governance Team with reporting for both internal and external governance needs.
About You
This role will require an experienced, autonomous worker that can produce high quality, insightful and tailored support across a suite of Governance Forums concurrently.
Key skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in administrative or business support roles (2+ years), with a preference for experience in a clinical or government contract environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal), including the capacity to translate complex information for various audiences, from operational to senior levels.
- Intermediate computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, to efficiently manage data and documentation.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Self-motivation and accountability, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables and outcomes.
