Executive Assistant to Chief People Officer, Bupa APAC (parental leave cover)

The Opportunity

We have a wonderful opportunity to join Bupa on a parental leave cover as Executive Assistant (EA) to our APAC Chief People Officer (CPO).

This role provides the highest level of professional support ensuring a consistent and efficient working environment for our Melbourne based CPO. Providing parental leave cover for 12 months, this role is responsible for effective management of multiple tasks, competing priorities across global time zones, and working as part of the broader APAC Executive Leadership Team’s EA team.

A true partner to the CPO, you will act as the first point of contact, manage complex calendars, contribute to projects and organise events – amongst other things!

High energy and excellent organisational skills are a must for this role!

How will I help?

  • Providing exceptional support to the Chief People Officer APAC as required. This will include acting as a first point of contact, managing the annual calendar, complex daily calendar management, email traffic management and meeting/event coordination
  • Preparing and reviewing communications, presentations, spreadsheets and documents
  • Supporting the preparation of Board Papers
  • Support to the wider People team by coordinating team events including location and preparation details, organising meetings and teleconferences including agendas, speaking notes, minute preparation and distribution.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders

What do I need?

  • Significant EA experience supporting C-suite Executives
  • A collaborative, adaptable and authentic personal style with strong relationship building skills and the ability to react to change easily
  • Superior organisational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage and deliver on rapidly changing and conflicting priorities, whilst working at pace
  • Experience working within a complex matrix environment
  • Problem resolution skills
  • Excellent presentation and document preparation skills
  • Experience engaging with and managing multiple senior stakeholders (local and global)
  • Experience in handling sensitive information with the utmost of discretion
  • Inherent customer service orientation and can-do attitude
