Reporting to the Head of Finance – Technology & Digital, this is a high-impact role that serves as a trusted advisor to the Technology leadership team. As Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving financial stewardship, delivering commercial insights, and enabling strategic decision-making across both BAU operations and change initiatives within the Technology function.
This role spans the full spectrum of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost analysis, and accounting control - with a strong emphasis on enhancing transparency, accountability, and aligning financial outcomes with Technology’s strategic priorities.
You’ll work in close partnership with senior stakeholders, including the CIO, COO, and CFO, to identify opportunities, influence key decisions, and drive modern, value-focused ways of working. In addition, you’ll lead a small team, fostering a high-performance culture and elevating Finance’s strategic contribution across the Technology and Digital portfolios.
How will I help?
- Act as a trusted advisor to Technology leadership, shaping strategic and financial decisions while proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and value drivers
- Co-own financial performance with Technology leaders by guiding prioritisation, challenging assumptions, and ensuring investments deliver long-term, sustainable value
- Lead end-to-end financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end processes, and delivering clear, actionable reporting and analysis
- Drive financial transparency and accountability across BAU and change initiatives, ensuring accurate capture of Technology costs, including cloud, vendors, and internal resources
- Partner with senior stakeholders (CIO, COO, CFO) to embed commercial thinking, influence operating models, and support cross-functional transformation initiatives
- Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities, collaborating with Procurement to improve commercial outcomes
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement
- Apply strong technology and commercial acumen to support investment decisions, business cases, and the financial impact of change programs

What do I need?
We’re looking for a commercially minded finance leader with a strong enterprise mindset and a continuous improvement approach. You’ll bring proven experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or Technology Finance within large, complex organisations. You’ll be CA or CPA qualified and degree-qualified in Finance, Business or a related field.
You’ll have a deep understanding of financial planning, management reporting, and core accounting principles including accruals, capitalisation, accounting journals, and FTE reconciliations. Your strong commercial acumen enables you to identify cost efficiencies, shape investments, and drive long-term value creation.
Strong leadership capability is essential, along with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams. You’ll be a confident communicator, capable of engaging senior executives and influencing strategic outcomes.
