Please note this is not a Senior Technical / Engineering Leadership role we are seeking someone from a strong Business, Portfolio, performance management & Business Operations background within Technology !!!!!

Bupa has a strategic goal of being the most customer-centric digital healthcare organisation, with the use of data as an explicit pillar of this strategy.  We have a new role reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, for a Head of business Operations to join us.  Whilst the role reports to the COO is will work and support our Director of Technology Operations.  You’ll work closely with the Tech Ops leadership team to find ways to optimise its ways of working by mobilising and leading cross-functional squads of craft specialists. The role will require significant systems and strategic thinking, stakeholder management, communication, business analysis and change leadership skills to help Tech Ops team deliver on business requirements and across Technology.  Supporting the technology Director with all financial requirements, board reporting, Resource and workforce planning to help achieve strategic outcomes. 

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Value alignment to Bupa’s values of Brave, Caring and Responsible.
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience in portfolio and performance management, preferably within government
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills including providing continuous feedback and coaching for success to develop high performing teams 
  • Experience working in and understanding of the regulatory environment in which Bupa operates. 
  • Expansive knowledge of enterprise project portfolio management practices, business planning and reporting, governance and risk management. 
  • Proven experience driving process improvement and supporting business change. 
  • Strong situational analysis, decision-making and influencing abilities. 
  • Experience managing budgets and performance measurements. 
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and negotiating skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations of deliverables, seeking ongoing feedback and managing divergent interests. 
  • Skilled ability to manage complexity and ambiguity. 
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and influence decision-makers.
