Invoice Operations Consultant

About the Role
The Invoice Operations Consultant is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Invoice Operations Team, ensuring all invoices are processed in line with provider contracts, industry rules, and quality standards. This role is part of the ADF Health Services Contract, which provides integrated health services to 85,000 Australian Defence Force personnel across 59 facilities. Services include primary and occupational healthcare, dental, mental health, physiotherapy, pharmacy, imaging, pathology, and other health services. The role requires strict adherence to the established quality framework for invoice processing.
It’s a Permanent Full Time Opportunity with a mandatory requirement to go into the Office once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoicing and hospital assessments for payment.
- Manage queue allocation and respond to emails.
- Collaborate as a team player to improve overall invoicing/hospital team performance.
- Ensure accountability for scorecard deliverables.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, coaching sessions, training, and one-on-ones.
- Perform general administrative tasks.
- Assist with investigative escalations by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve invoicing queries.
- Understand hospital contracts, approval documentation, and MBS validation requirements.
- Interpret processing/data point requirements for individual hospital contracts.
What do I need?
- Previous experience in customer service, processing and administration, data entry or contact centre roles.
- Previous experience in a high volume, fast paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills as well as business acumen
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proven ability to meet and exceed turnaround times (SLA’s/ KPI’s)
- Energetic and enthusiastic team player and ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
- You must be an Australian citizen and be able to attain and maintain a baseline security clearance from the Defence security and vetting service.
