At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.

We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you’ll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before. Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility. Just imagine the impact you could make.

The purpose of this role:

We are looking for a Strategy Manager with a strong focus on strategic planning and reporting to join the Strategy & Delivery APAC team. In this role, you will play a critical role in the development, execution, and monitoring of the APAC strategy and provide high-level insights to support executive decision-making.

You will collaborate closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure the company’s strategic objectives are met through well-informed planning, rigorous reporting, and data-driven insights. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping Bupa APAC’s transformation towards becoming a market leading healthcare company.

This hybrid position will be based form Bupa’s Exhibition Street offices in Melbourne.

How will I add value:

Reporting to the Head of Strategy - Planning & Performance (APAC), the Strategy Manager is accountable for:

  • supporting the understanding, adoption and management of the APAC Strategy, KPIs and metrics;
  • mobilising core components of the key strategic planning processes (e.g. the 3-Year Plan (3YP), Strategy Development Committee, Quarterly Business Reviews across APAC; and
  • conducting first line reviews of performance reporting for accuracy, conciseness and impact.

What you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce required
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning and/or management consulting.
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration in a large matrixed organisation, and a constantly changing and ambiguous corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex analyses into clear, impactful recommendations.
  • Highly organised, and the ability to develop complex workplans, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and communicate milestones and priorities to demonstrate progress.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting tools, with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Why you’ll love it?

We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves. From providing initiatives that develop careers to looking after our people’s health, wellbeing and futures. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with a mix of time in the office and at home, while having plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take your experience to the next level.

At Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are continuing to build teams that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Bupa is committed to providing equal opportunities and fostering a workplace and environment that is free of discrimination, bullying and harassment. We actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ applicants. We are dedicated to removing barriers to participation. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, or if you’d like to discuss how this role can be flexible for you, please let us know so we can support your participation on an equitable basis.
